Himani Chandel

Himani Chandel is a strategic communications professional and a former senior journalist with over 15 years of experience across media, social development sector, and public policy. A Chevening Scholar awarded by the UK Government, she holds a Master’s in Communication for Innovation and Development from University of Reading. Over the years, she has worked with leading organisations including Plan International, Kailash Satyarthi Children’s Foundation, founded by Nobel Peace Laureate Kailash Satyarthi, and Press Trust of India, India’s leading news agency. Her expertise spans strategic communication, media relations, advocacy campaigns, brand positioning, content development, and stakeholder engagement. With her extensive journalistic experience of reporting and writing on governance, environment, public health, women and child welfare, and social development, she brings a strong understanding of grassroots realities and policy-driven change.
